Venus of the Rags – The Tate Modern This is a piece of art we recently saw at the Tate Modern in London. I think it’s supposed to represent the broad gulf between classical and contemporary culture. The scheme allows any user to pick up a bike from a docking station, ride to another docking station and pay nothing as long as the journey time is under 30 minutes. Despite numerous friends raving about their experiences, it just didn’t hold a great appeal for me. However, my aim this year to enjoy proximity travel, combined with a visit from my cousin and her boyfriend [...] Pont D'amore In the shadow of Notre Dame where this simple bridge spans the River Seine, lovers hold hands as they attach a padlock to the wire. Some have been engraved, others have used a permanent pen. But they all represent the couple’s anticipation of a long life together. Walking Home |
