After my rant earlier in the week I decided to take some action, no matter how small. And so, I found myself elbow deep in flour as I baked bread from scratch.
To go along with the bread, we bought some fresh Italian meats and cheeses from a local deli and I tried my hand at making pesto. A genetic trait meant that my final product had too much garlic in it to be edible, but at least now I know how to make pesto. A bottle of red wine finished off the meal perfectly.
