The Perfume River, Hue
We have been in Vietnam for just over a week now. Before coming here we’d heard some incredibly enthusiastic reviews from other travellers about their experiences in the country. We left Laos excited to see the Vietnam we’d heard so much about. However, in our time in Hanoi and Sapa we didn’t feel as though we understood what all the fuss was about. The people we met were persistent in trying to sell to us, the food was bland and uninteresting and the sight were less than captivating.
Today, however, we finally felt like we could see what all the fuss is about. We arrived in Hue this morning and the people we have met, sights we have seen, food we have eaten and beer we have drunk have all been wonderful. I am even more excited now to see what the rest of our time in Vietnam will bring.
